Welcome to Year 1!
Welcome to Year 1 where we love to learn at every opportunity.
We spend a lot of our time learning through games, songs and practical activities. We have lots of fun becoming historians, readers, writers, artists plus many other things.
This page will be updated throughout the year with important information, photographs and updates about our learning journey.

- Wednesdays: Homework due in. ( maths/ English alternate weeks)

Our PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday - please ensure children wear their PE kit to school on these days.
What We're Learning This Term
Phonics: Read Write Inc at the children's current level.

Class Novels this Term
We love reading books in Year 1. We read a story every day. Some of these will be linked to our topics and others will be the children's choice.
Homework
Homework is a mixture of online learning and a piece of paper homework each week. We expect children will access Numbots for 5 minutes each week, practise their spellings and complete a test on SpellingFrame each week and complete their Oxford Owl quizzes. If you have any difficulties with any of these, please let me know.
